Instructions
- 1. Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
- 2. Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add chili oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not burnt.
- 3. Combine Pasta and Oil: Add drained spaghetti to the skillet with garlic and chili oil. Toss gently to coat the noodles in flavor.
- 4. Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper over the pasta, adjusting spice level with extra chili oil if desired.
- 5. Finish with Herbs and Cheese: Remove from heat and mix in chopped basil or parsley along with grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
- 6. Serve: Plate immediately, topped with additional Parmesan if desired.
