Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the fresh rhubarb into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine rhubarb, sugar, and water. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for 10-15 minutes until rhubarb softens.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and let it cook for an additional minute.
  5. Remove from heat and cool slightly before transferring to jars. Let cool for at least 20 minutes before storing.
