  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning blend
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly coat a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and sear the chicken breasts for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, combine crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, and Italian seasoning; mix well.
  5. Place seared chicken in the baking dish and pour the sauce mixture over it, ensuring each piece is covered.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Add grated Parmesan during the last five minutes of baking.
