- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
- In another bowl, beat granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are firm but centers remain slightly soft.
- Allow to cool on sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For a nutty twist, try using almond butter instead of peanut butter.
- Add a pinch of sea salt on top before baking for an extra flavor boost!
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
