Instructions

  1. Brew and cool the espresso; mix in vanilla extract.
  2. Whisk egg yolks with sugar until pale, then fold in mascarpone until smooth.
  3. Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form; gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Dip ladyfingers briefly in espresso; layer them in a serving dish followed by the mascarpone mix. Repeat layers.
