Stuffed shells are a comforting, cheesy delight that brings warmth to any dinner table. This easy recipe is perfect for family gatherings and weeknight meals.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and cool under cold water.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Fill each shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  5. Spread half of the marinara sauce in the baking dish. Arrange the filled shells upright in the dish.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells and top with leftover mozzarella and olive oil.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
