- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
- Layer the chopped onion at the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the chicken breasts on top and add minced garlic.
- Pour the chicken broth and BBQ sauce over the chicken.
- Season generously with cumin and paprika.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for about 4 hours until easily shreddable.
- Shred the chicken in the pot with two forks and mix with juices before serving.
