Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Gradually whisk in stone-ground grits while stirring to prevent lumps.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until thickened. Stir occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes until pink and opaque.
- Serve shrimp over creamy grits, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of paprika.
