Description

Miso glazed fish is a quick and delicious dish that marries sweet and savory flavors, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fresh fish fillets (6 oz each, such as salmon or cod)
  • 3 tbsp white or yellow miso paste
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, and grated ginger until smooth.
  2. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring even coating. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C). If using an oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Remove the fillets from the marinade and place them on the grill or baking sheet. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Transfer to serving plates and garnish with chopped green onions. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For added crunch, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
  • Substitute fish with tofu for a vegetarian option.
  • Broiling can enhance caramelization for an appealing finish.
