Description

Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon is a flavorful and elegant dish that captures the essence of summer grilling, perfect for your Memorial Day celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillet (skin-on)
  • 1 cedar plank (soaked in water for at least 1 hour)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least one hour.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over it and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  5. Remove the soaked cedar plank from the water and place it on one side of the grill. Lay the marinated salmon skin-side down on top of the plank.
  6. Close the lid and grill for approximately 15-20 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
