- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup (plus extra for serving)
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and half of the maple syrup until smooth.
- Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined; some lumps are okay.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Use a cookie scoop to drop batter onto the skillet, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until bubbles form on top; flip and drizzle with more maple syrup before cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes.

- Let bites cool slightly before serving to help them hold their shape.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
