- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or mini peanut butter cups
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Mix in peanut butter until smooth, then add the egg and combine well.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips or mini peanut butter cups gently.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden; centers should remain soft.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For thicker cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
