Description

Crème Brûlée Cheesecake Bars are a luscious blend of creamy cheesecake and a crispy caramel topping, perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup casting sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1/4 cup of sugar until fluffy. Mix in sour cream, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and bake for 30-35 minutes until set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. After cooling completely, sprinkle casting sugar evenly over the top and caramelize using a kitchen torch or broiler until golden brown.
  6. Allow cooling for 10 minutes before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • For a zesty twist, add lemon zest to the filling.
  •  Substitute graham crackers with crushed Oreos for a chocolatey flavor.
