Ingredients

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix warm apple cider and melted butter. Add eggs and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Ensure no lumps remain.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined to avoid dense donuts.
  5. Transfer batter to a piping bag or zip-top bag and pipe into each donut cavity halfway full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. A toothpick should come out clean when inserted.
  7. Allow cooling for about 5 minutes before removing from the pan. Toss warm donuts in granulated or powdered sugar.
