Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs lightly. Add canola oil and hot fudge sauce; mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  5. If desired, fold in chocolate chips for extra fudginess.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. A toothpick inserted should come out mostly clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add nuts for extra crunch or a sprinkle of sea salt on top for enhanced flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days.
