Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 1 cedar plank (soaked for 1 hour)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  3. Pat dry the salmon fillet and drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and dill.
  4. Place the seasoned salmon on the soaked cedar plank, optionally drizzling with maple syrup.
  5. Grill the cedar plank salmon over indirect heat for 15-20 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve immediately with extra lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in olive oil, garlic, and dill for an hour before grilling.
  • Substitute salmon with other fish like trout or sea bass if desired.
  •  Ensure proper soaking of the cedar plank to prevent burning.
