- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for better flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill each side for about 6-7 minutes until char marks appear.
- During the last few minutes of grilling, brush leftover marinade onto each breast for added flavor.
- Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
