Description

Treat Dad to a perfectly grilled ribeye steak, seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. This simple recipe ensures a memorable meal he’ll love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ribeye steak (1 inch thick, about 12 oz)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 450°F).
  2. Pat the ribeye dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Sprinkle fresh herbs on both sides of the steak for added flavor.
  4. Place the steak on the hot grill and close the lid. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  5. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for doneness; aim for 130°F (54°C).
  6. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  •  Allow the ribeye to come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking.
  •  For extra flavor, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes or trying different herbs.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
