- 2–3 black tea bags (Assam or Darjeeling)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 crushed cardamom pods
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced or grated
- 1 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
- Sweetener to taste (sugar or honey)
Instructions
- Boil water in a saucepan over medium heat. Add crushed cardamom and sliced ginger.
- Once boiling, add black tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
- Stir in milk and your preferred sweetener, keeping on low heat until heated through.
- Simmer for an additional 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Strain into mugs and garnish with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve hot.
