Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup tahini paste
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder (optional)
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and place them in a food processor.
  2. Blend chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin until smooth.
  3. Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
