Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 4 medium soft flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 avocado (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping lettuce and tomatoes, and grating the cheese.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crispy, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
- Sprinkle taco seasoning over the cooked beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Stir well to evenly distribute the seasoning.
- Lower the heat slightly and add grated cheddar cheese on top of the seasoned beef. Cover briefly to melt the cheese.
- Warm tortillas in another pan or microwave until pliable.
- Assemble your tacos by placing the beef mixture onto each tortilla and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and avocado if desired.
Notes
- Customize your tacos by adding toppings such as salsa, jalapeños, or cilantro for an extra kick.
- For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with turkey or a plant-based alternative.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days; reheat on a skillet for optimal texture.
