Description

Enjoy vibrant Memorial Day grilled fish tacos with flaky fish, zesty slaw, and creamy avocado, all wrapped in warm tortillas for a delightful summer feast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh white fish (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 limes, cut into wedges
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Coat the fish fillets in the marinade and let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Grill the marinated fish on each side for 4-5 minutes until flaky.
  4. Warm tortillas on the grill or in a skillet until soft.
  5. Assemble tacos by placing grilled fish on tortillas and topping with cabbage slaw and avocado slices.
  6. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like cilantro or swapping cabbage for shredded carrots.
  •  If you want a bit of sweetness, try adding mango salsa as a topping.
