- 1 cedar plank (soaked in water for 1 hour)
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet (skin-on)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley (chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least one hour.
- Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon on a plate and pour half of the marinade over it. Let it marinate for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375°F).
- Place the marinated salmon skin-side down on the soaked cedar plank and transfer it to the grill.
- Grill for about 15-20 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Let rest for five minutes before serving.
