Description

This grilled cedar plank salmon is a flavorful summer dish, combining juicy salmon with smoky cedar for an unforgettable outdoor meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cedar plank (soaked in water for 1 hour)
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet (skin-on)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least one hour.
  2. Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the salmon on a plate and pour half of the marinade over it. Let it marinate for about 20 minutes.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375°F).
  6. Place the marinated salmon skin-side down on the soaked cedar plank and transfer it to the grill.
  7. Grill for about 15-20 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Let rest for five minutes before serving.
