Description

Lasagna rolls are a delightful twist on a classic dish, filled with creamy cheese and fresh herbs, making them perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, spinach, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and basil until well combined.
  4. Lay cooked noodles flat and spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of filling onto each noodle. Roll tightly and place seam-side down in a baking dish.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the rolls and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, substitute ricotta with cottage cheese.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Ensure not to overfill the rolls to avoid messy spills during baking.
