- 1 lb ziti pasta
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the ziti until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and return to the pot.
- Stir half of the marinara sauce into the warm ziti until well-coated.
- Gently fold in dollops of ricotta cheese until evenly mixed.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the ziti mixture and sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Add the remaining ziti mixture on top and finish with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
