- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (240ml)
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth (240ml)
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (50g)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (30ml)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest while you prepare the sauce.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until melted, then return the seared chicken to the skillet to soak in the sauce.
- Allow everything to simmer together for another 3-5 minutes before serving hot.
