Description

Indulge in fluffy cinnamon rolls with heavy cream that are irresistibly moist and delicious. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack, they’ll brighten any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms; add more flour if necessary.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  6. For the filling, combine softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  7. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle (¼ inch thick). Spread the filling evenly over the dough and roll tightly into a log.
  8. Slice into even pieces (about 12) and arrange them in the greased baking pan.
  9. Pour heavy cream over the rolls before covering to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before drizzling with glaze made from confectioners’ sugar mixed with vanilla extract and enough milk to reach desired consistency.

Notes

  • For extra flavor variations, consider adding chocolate chips or using nutmeg instead of cinnamon.
  •  If you prefer a different glaze, try maple syrup instead of icing!
