Description

Indulge in these warm, crispy churros coated in cinnamon sugar for a delightful treat that satisfies your sweet tooth and brings joy to any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • Vegetable oil for frying (about 2-3 inches deep)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil over medium heat until the butter melts.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour all at once. Mix vigorously until it forms a smooth ball that pulls away from the sides.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly, then mix in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat (around 350°F).
  5. Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe strips of dough into hot oil without overcrowding.
  6. Fry each churro until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly before coating in cinnamon sugar.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding vanilla extract or citrus zest to your dough.
  • To enhance crispiness, ensure your oil is hot enough before frying.
