Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour and water until a dough forms. Knead gently until smooth, then let rest for 20 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the ground chicken with the minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out small portions of dough into circles about 3 inches wide. Place a spoonful of filling in each circle and fold over into half-moons. Pinch edges securely to seal.
- Bring chicken broth to a gentle simmer in a large pot. Carefully drop in dumplings and cook until they float (about 5–7 minutes).
- Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken with turkey or add vegetables like spinach or carrots for extra nutrition.
- For meal prep, freeze uncooked dumplings and boil them straight from the freezer when ready to serve.
