Instructions

  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly for about 5-6 times; avoid overworking.
  5. Roll out to about half an inch thick and cut into squares or rectangles.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the dough pieces for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels; dust generously with powdered sugar while warm.
