Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, and cornstarch to create the marinade.
- Place beef slices in the marinade and let sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and stir-fry broccoli for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
- Push broccoli to one side of the skillet and add marinated beef; cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned.
- Pour remaining marinade over the beef and broccoli; cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding bell peppers or snap peas alongside the broccoli.
- Marinating the beef longer will intensify its flavor.
- Ensure your pan is hot enough before adding ingredients to achieve that perfect sear.
