Description
Baked falafel are crispy, flavorful patties made from wholesome chickpeas and spices. They make a perfect healthy snack, appetizer, or addition to wraps and salads.
Ingredients

- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained
- 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Pulse until coarsely blended.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix in flour and baking powder until combined.
- Form small balls or patties from the mixture and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over each patty before baking.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Soak chickpeas overnight for better texture.
- Experiment by adding cayenne pepper for heat or grated vegetables for added nutrition.
